Marks of A Liberating Church

We'll become more in touch with our faith and our church as an alternative space from the domination of empire using the model of the hush harbors that enslaved people created in the antebellum south. Part of the goal of this series will be to name that we are moving away from perspectives of our faith that are about conquest -- perspectives all too common in megachurches -- and modeling ourselves on something different, namely a faith from below. The February weeks of this series will also tie into larger liturgy around Black History.
