Advent 2021: In This Here Place, We Flesh
Advent is a season of anticipation and remembrance. We remember the arrive of God-in-the-flesh in Jesus, and we anticipate Jesus' return to restore all of creation. The hope of Christians is not escape from the cosmos, but rather its redemption and re-creation. By God becoming human, God reaffirms the goodness of physical creation. Yes, it's in need of recovery and help. But when God said, "It is good," God wasn't lying.
